Heavenly Father Gave Us Insects To Make Our World Better - FREE PRINTOUT

As I was Preparing my Primary Lesson
 ( )
on "I Am Thankful for Birds and Insects"
I thought that it would be fun to adapt
my Valentine's "Bugs and Kisses" to the lesson.
And... Since I had just put Lady Bugs in my backyard, I thought that it would be fun to fill the bags with Lady Bugs from the nursery.  So... I changed the sign to fit my lesson.  I poked small holes in the bag for the Lady Bugs to get air.  I also added some moist sticks and leaves.  The kids and I took one of the bags outside to open on the grass so that they could play with them.  Then I gave them each a bag to take home.  The lesson went great and the children loved their Lady Bugs.
To print these out just copy and paste it into your printing program, or you can right click on the picture and save it into your pictures.  You can resize it to the size that you need.
Here's how to add the lady bugs:

Here's how to add the header:
Print out the graphic on to card stock.
Fold it over at the top along the top red edge:
Cut around the red edge on the two sides and the bottom.
Cut the 5" wide cellophane bag at about 5" high:

Fill the bag with Lady Bugs and Moist Leaves (not shown)
Make sure to poke small holes in the bag with a pin:
Tape the top of the cellophane bag to the inside of the card:

Fold the card over and then put 3 or 4 staples across the bottom edge:

I also have a more generic version for school, or a birthday party.  Just click on the picture below:
For my treats I gave the children honey sticks that I got from a good friend of mine.  Her family owns a bee farm and she sell honey products.  The children and I were able to talk about bees and honey, and they could see how yummy the honey is.  It was a wonderful treat.
